Dr. Lisa Bailey is a native of Double Springs, Alabama. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with University Honors from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. As an undergraduate she resided in Tunisia for two months on a Department of State scholarship to study Arabic. She completed her medical training at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. After graduating she moved to Lexington, Kentucky, with her future fiancé Brian Hixon where they both completed an internship in general surgery at the University of Kentucky. She remained there to continue four more years of residency in the Department of Urology .
During residency she became a member of the American Urologic Association, the Society of Women in Urology, and was appointed a subcommittee member in the Society of Women in Medicine and Science.
She is a board certified urologic surgeon with extensive training in minimally invasive and robotic surgery as well as female reconstructive surgery. Her interests include stone disease management, genitourinary oncology and medical/surgical management of female pelvic floor pathology.
Lisa and her husband Brian, a Fairhope native, are excited to join the Fairhope community. They have recently adopted a retired racing greyhound named Gigi. Lisa’s non-urologic interests include Alabama and Kentucky sports, running, cooking, craft beer and wine.
